Sihi kadubu



Ingredients 

Dough or ookarisida hittu—check the recipe for dough for kayi kadubu 
Grated coconut—1 cup
Jaggery powder—1/2 cup
Cardamom pods—3 to 4  (powder them )
Water —1 tablespoon 

Method 

Prepare the dough and keep it ready for making kadubus
Mix coconut grated and jaggery powder along with water in a kadai or pan 
Cook on low flame adding cardamom powder  till water evaporates.
Turn off the heat .let it cool.
  

Method  for making kadubus 

Take one dough ball, roll it into flat round shape like pooris either using a roti press or rolling pin.

For roti press take 2 parchment sheet or plastic sheet grease it.
Keep one sheet on bottom of press put the dough ball in the centre ,keep another greased sheet on top and press it gently.
Now take the flattened poori and put a tablespoon of prepared filling and close like half moon and press edges. Do it gently.

Make all the kadubus in the same manner . Transfer to greased cooker plates or container 
Steam cook this on medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes.
Turn off the heat.

Remove from steamer and keep aside. Let it cool for a while.
Now sihi kadubu is ready to eat.
