Sowthekayi kayi sasive hasi gojju ( raw cucumber gojju)
Ingredients
Sowthekayi ( cucumber)—2 medium size
Grated coconut—1 cup
Green chillies—2 to 3
Jaggery powder—-1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds (sasive)—1/2 teaspoon
Tamarind—a little
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves—1 tablespoon chopped
Hurigadale ( fried gram)—2 tablespoon
Method
Peel the skin from cucumbers and chopp into small pieces or grate them.
Transfer into a big bowl.
Grind coconut grated,green chillies,jaggery powder,mustard seeds, tamarind,coriander leaves,salt ,hurigadale in a mixer grinder to a smooth paste adding little water.
Add this ground masala to chopped cucumber and mix it well together.
Add little water if needed to get the gojju consistency.
Now prepare for seasoning (oggarane).
Heat a laddle on medium flame, add 1 tablespoon of ghee,once hot add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and jeera and 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida.
Once’s done pour over gojju and mix well.
Now gojju is ready to serve with rice
