Special health drink ( herbal tea)

 


Ingredients for roasting 

Kothambari bija (coriander seeds//sabut dhaniya)—1 cup

Jeerige (jeera// cumin seeds)—1 tablespoon 
Arisina kombu ( dry turmeric roots//haldi ki ganth)—4 small
Dalchini ( cinnamon sticks)—7 to 8 small pieces 
Green cardamom ( ellaki//elaichi)—4
Black pepper corns (kaalu menasu)—1 teaspoon 

Method 

Dry roast all the above ingredients listed for roasting in a pan on medium flame.
Roast for  2 to 3 minutes till you get nice aroma ( just warm it )
Do not burn the ingredients.
Let it cool completely.

Transfer to a mixer grinder jar and powder it  coarsely.
Store in an airtight container.

Ingredients for making tea

Water— 1 /2 cup
Jaggery powder (Bella//gud)—1 heaped  teaspoon 
Ground powder —1 teaspoon 

Method 

Boil water in a pan,along with powder and jaggery.
Boil on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes 
Strain through a tea strainer and serve hot.

Note;;;

You can add half cup of hot milk to the above tea and drink it hot.
Also you can add honey after the tea gets cooled and drink.

It’s a per perfect health drink for many ailments.
It’s a traditional recipe from malnaadu  region.
