Akki tari ( rice rava) rotti

 


Ingredients


Raw rice rava (akki tari)—1/2 cup
Rice flour( akki hittu)—1 /2 cup

Grated fresh coconut—1/2 cup or little more
Jeera (jeerige//cumin seeds)—1 tablespoon 
Chopped coriander leaves (kothambari soppu)—3 tablespoon 
Curd (mosaru//dahi)—1/2 cup
Salt —to taste
Water—as required 

Oil—for making rotti 

Note;; you can add chopped onions,grated carrot ,greens,green chillies also. As per your taste.

Method 

Take all the above ingredients except oil in a mixing bowl,mix well together and add water little by  little and knead the dough.
It should not be too tight.
Keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Grease the pan or tava,spread a big lemon sized dough evenly with wet fingers.

Smear little oil all over and on rotti and cook on medium flame covering with a lid.
Cook till crisp and light brown in colour and serve hot with chutney,curd .
