Cabbage (kosugedde)- raita

 



Ingredients

Finely grated cabbage (kosu gedde)—2 cups
Finely chopped onion (irulli//pyaz)—1/2 cup
Finely chopped coriander leaves (kothambari soppu)—2 tablespoon 
Thick curd (mosaru)—3 cups or as required 
Salt—to taste 

For seasoning (oggarane)

Oil or ghee—1 tablespoon 
Mustard seeds (sasive)—1 teaspoon 
Green chillies (hasiru menasina kayi)—2 
Asafoetida (hing//ingu)—1/2 teaspoon 

Method 

Take all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well with your hands.

Heat ghee in a laddle,once hot add sasive,when it crackles add hing and chopped green chillies,sauté till chillies turns to white colour..pour over raita and mix well. 

Cabbage raita is ready.
You can add grated fresh coconut for extra taste.(optional).
