Aloo paratha without stuffing

 


Ingredients

Aloo boiled ( alugedde//potato)—3 medium sized 

Red chilli powder— 1 teaspoon 
Cumin powder ( jeerige//jeera powder)—1 teaspoon 
Dhaniya ( coriander) powder—1 teaspoon 
Garam masala powder—1 teaspoon 
Black pepper powder—1 teaspoon 
Amchur powder—1/2 teaspoon 
Arisina ( turmeric powder//haldi)—1/2 teaspoon 
Ingu ( asafoetida//hing)—1/2 teaspoon 
Salt—to taste
Om kaalu ( ajwain //carom seeds)—1 teaspoon 
Kasoori methi —2 tablespoon 
Oil —1 tablespoon 

Wheat flour ( atta //godhi hittu)— 2 to 3 cups
( you will have to add wheat flour depending on the moisture of boiled potatoes ,as we are not using any water for kneading dough)
 Masala powders measurements  you can adjust according to your spice level .

Method 

Boil aloo and peel the skin and mash completely.
Take the mashed aloo in a mixing bowl,add all the other ingredients and knead to a smooth dough.
Do not add any water while kneading the dough.
Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes knead the dough again.
Next take  balls from the dough , and roll into circular shape like chapattis,by dusting with dry wheat flour.

Meanwhile heat a tava or nonstick pan,on medium flame.
Place the rolled paratha and cook by adding little oil all over and cook the other side by flipping over.
Cook until golden brown spots appear on both  sides.
Easy delicious aloo paratha is ready to serve.
Serve with curd,pickles or any curry .
