Sandwich bread

 


Ingredients

Maida ( all purpose flour) —  2 1/2 cups
Sugar— 1 tablespoon ( flowing)
Salt—1/2 teaspoon 
Yeast—1 tablespoon 
Warm milk—1 1/4 cup
Butter —2 tablespoon ( melted)

Method 

Take maida,salt,sugar ,yeast,butter in a large mixing bowl.
Whisk together well ( or mix with a wooden spoon).
Add warm milk and mix it well.
It will be a sticky dough.
Cover the bowl with a tight lid or cling wrap.
Place the bowl in a warm place and allow it to rest for 2 hours.

After the rise time,take out the dough with well greased hands and mix well together.
Mean while grease the bread pan and dust it with maida very well.

Transfer the dough into  the well buttered ( greased)  pan.

Even the dough into the corners of the pan using well greased hands.

The dough will be sticky.
 Cover the pan again with cling film and keep it for rising. For another 30 to 40 minutes or until it raised  till the rim of pan and even .

Note;; the rising time depends on warm place.

Finally pre heat the oven to 375 F and place the pan in the middle rack to bake .
You can sprinkle little raisins,pistachios  on top.(optional)
Allow it to bake for 35 minutes approximately or until the top crust is golden brown.

Remove from oven  and  brush the top crust with butter and cool completely on a cooling rack.
remove from pan.

Slice and enjoy soft and delicious bread with jam,butter.
