Oats dosa ( South Indian style)
Ingredients
Oats—3 cup
Uddina belle (urad dhal)—1 cup
Kadale belle (channa dhal)—1/4 cup
Menthya kaalu ( methi dana//fenugreek seeds)—2 teaspoon
Water—to soak
Salt—to taste
Oil—for making dosa
Tava or nonstick pan.
Method
Wash oats,uddina belle,kadale belle,menthya kaalu in water 3 to 4 times.
Soak in enough water for 6 to 7 hours.
Grind the soaked ingredients in a mixer grinder jar to fine paste adding required amount of water.
The batter should not be too thick nor too thin.
Transfer the batter into a vessel or container add salt and allow it to ferment overnight or for 8 to 9 hours.
Next day mix the fermented batter well.
Now to make dosa
Heat the tava on medium flame.
Once hot enough pour a laddle full of batter in the centre and spread in circular motion.
Pour oil around and to edges ,cover with a lid and cook.
Once the dosa turns brown fold and remove.
Enjoy the hot dosa with chutney or chutney powder.
