0ats otthu shavige ( instant noodles)
Ingredients
Oats — 2 cups
Rice flour ( akki hittu )—2 tablespoon
Water— 2 cups + 2 tablespoon
Salt—1 teaspoon
Ghee—1 teaspoon
Method
Grind oats to a fine powder in a mixer grinder jar and sieve it.
Add rice powder to it and mix well together.
Heat water with ghee and salt in a pan on medium flame.
When the water starts boiling,switch off the stove.
Add in oats and rice powder mixture and mix till dough is formed.
Cover with a lid and keep it for 5 minutes.
Now knead the dough again with wet hands.
Make a cylindrical shaped dumplings out of dough and place the dumplings in a greased plate or vessel and place them in a steamer.
Steam for 15 minutes.
Next grease the chakli maker with some oil and place the dumplings inside the maker.
Tighten with the lid and press shavige in circular motion on greased plate.
Keep covered the rest of the dough else they become dry.
Now tasty and soft oats otthu shavige is ready to eat .
You can eat with any curry of your choice or prepare lemon shavige.
