Rave sowthekayi dosa (sooji cucumber dosa) instant
Ingredients
Chiroti rave (fine sooji//semolina) or any sooji—2 cups
Cucumber ( sowthekayi)—2 small or grated —3 cups or little less
Coriander leaves (kothambari soppu )—handfull
Green chillies (hasiru menasina kayi//hari mirch)—3
Ginger (shunti//adarak)—small piece
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—few
Salt—to taste.
Method
Firstly wash rave in water and drain water.
Set it aside for ten minutes.
Rave will soak water and becomes soft.
Next wash the cucumber and grate them.
I have not peeled the outer skin .( its optional,you can peel if necessary).
Now take the grated cucumber,ginger,chillies,curry leaves and blend in a mixer grinder jar.
Then add soaked rave,salt and blend to smooth paste.
Do not add any water as cucumber releases water.
Transfer to a bowl and mix well.
The consistency of batter should be like dosa batter.
Next heat a nonstick pan or iron tava,grease it.
Sprinkle little water and when it stops sizzling,pour a laddle full of batter and spread evenly in circular motion to make circle.
Drizzle little oil on and around dosa.
Cover with a lid and cook on medium flame.
Remove from sides when it turns little brown in colour.
You can flip and cook if you like.
Serve hot dosa with chutney.
