Rave ( sooji ) roti
Ingredients
Chiroti rave ( sooji//fine semolina)—1 cup
Ghee or oil—1 tablespoon
Salt—to taste
Water ( boiling)— less than 1/2 cup or little less
Method
Firstly boil water and keep it ready.
Now take rave in a mixing bowl,add oil,salt and mix well together.
Slowly add hot water little by little to rave and start mixing with a spoon.
Don’t add all water at once.( add as required)
After few minutes knead the dough and cover and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes knead the dough again till it becomes soft and pliable.
Divide the dough into small portion and roll the balls in the palms of your hands.
Flatten the ball,sprinkle rice flour or maida or wheat flour on rolling board,and roll into round circle using rolling pin.
Now pre heat the tava or skillet.
Now put the rolled roti on hot tava.
Firstly cook on one side ,when half cooked turn and cook on other side.
Cook till you get light brown spots or you can put the half cooked side on direct flame and allow to puff up.
Serve hot roti with any curry of your choice.
