Ingredients for masala tea premix powder
Milk powder —1 cup
Sugar—3/4 cup
Tea powder—1 cup
Green cardamom pods (ellaki//elaichi)—7 to 8
Dry ginger powder ( ona shunti powder)—1 teaspoon
Cloves (lavanga)—6
Dalchini (cinnamon sticks)—1 inch piece
Method
Firstly grind sugar,cloves,dalchini,cardamom pods,ginger powder in a mixer grinder jar to fine powder.
Then add tea powder and milk powder.
Grind together to a fine powder.
Store in an airtight container.
Ingredients for coffee premix powder
Milk powder—1 cup
Sugar—1/2 cup
Instant coffee powder—1/3 cup
Method
Firstly grind sugar in a mixer grinder jar to fine powder.
Then add milk powder and coffee powder and again grind it to fine powder.
Store in an airtight container.
Method for preparing tea and coffee using premix.
Boil one cup of water ,add in one tablespoon of the premix powder and stir well.
For tea let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes to flavours to bloom ( keep it covered)
And then filter and drink.
Coffee you can drink as it is.
Remember you add piping hot water to make tea and coffee.
And also you can adjust powder to your liking.
Refrigerate the powders for longer shelf life.
