Makhana ( lotus seeds) and dry fruits laddu

 


Ingredients 

Makhana (lotus seeds//fox seeds//gorgon nuts)—5 cups
Jaggery powder (Bella//gud)—1 cup

Walnuts (acrot//akhrot)—1/3 cup
Pumpkin seeds ( Sihi kumbalakayi bija)—1/3 cup
Almonds (badami//badam)—1/3 cup
Pista (pistachio)—1/3 cup
Cashew nuts (godambi//kaju)—1/3 cup
Raisins (drakshi//kishmish)—1/3 cup

Dates ( khajur//khar jura ) seedless—8 to 10
Grated dry coconut (kobbari//copra)—1/2 cup
Cardamom pods (ellaki//elaichi)—5
Cloves (lavanga)—12
Ghee(tuppa)—5 tablespoon 
Milk—1/4 cup

Method 

Take a nonstick pan or skillet,add Makhana seeds, one tablespoon of ghee.
Roast on medium flame till crisp,stirring continuously.
Break with your fingers and check if its crisp.
Transfer to a plate and keep it aside.

Next in the same pan take acrot,pumpkin seeds,almonds,cashews,pista and a tablespoon of ghee.
Roast them on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes stirring continuously 

Remove from pan and transfer to a plate and keep it aside.

In the same pan take raisins and kharjura,one teaspoon of ghee and roast till raisins puffs up a little.
Transfer to a plate and keep it aside.

Next take dry  coconut,cardamom pods,cloves and roast  for two minutes and remove it to a plate and keep it aside.

Let all the roasted ingredients cool completely.

Then firstly take mahkana seeds in a mixer grinder jar and blend it to fine powder.
Transfer to a broad plate or bowl.

Next take roasted dry nuts and blend them to fine powder.
Then take coconut,cloves,cardamom pods and blend and add jaggery powder,drakshi,kharjura and blend together.

Transfer to the plate.

Then mix all the ingredients together with your hands.
Add in 3 tablespoons of ghee,mix well.
Then add milk little by little and mix well together.

Take some mixture ( small lemon sized) and shape it into laddu ( round balls) with your hands.
Repeat the same procedure for remaining mixture.

Tasty and healthy laddus are ready to eat.
Store in an airtight container.
