Instant spongy rava appam (dosa)

 


Ingredients 

Medium rave(semolina//sooji)—1 cup
Thick curd (mosaru//dahi)—1/2 cup
Water—1 cup
Sugar—1 teaspoon 
Salt—to taste
Eno fruit salt—1 sachet ( 5 gram)

Method 

Take  rave in a pan and dry roast on low medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.do not burn the rave,just warming is enough.
Transfer to a plate,let it cool.
Then transfer the roasted rave into a mixer grinder jar.
Add in salt,sugar,curd and water.
Grind it to a smooth batter.
Transfer it to a bowl.
Cover with a lid and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
Mix well again.

Finally add eno fruit salt and to activate it add one teaspoon of water or milk over it (turns frothy).
Give a quick mix and mix well together.


Now heat the pan or non stick pan,once’s hot enough pour a laddle full of batter in the centre and slightly spread it in circular motion.
Do not make it thin,make like pan cakes.
Drizzle little oil.
Close with a lid and cook till it turns to brown in colour .
Open the lid and remove the dosa.
Serve hot dosa with chutney or saagu or any curry.
