Tomato salsa recipe

 


Ingredients 

Tomato—2 medium sized 
Onion—1/2 
Capsicum (dappa menasina kayi)—small piece 
Garlic pods (belluli//lehsun )—3 
Roasted jeera powder —1 teaspoon 
Red chilli paste—1 teaspoon or 2 dry red chillies 
Salt—to taste 
Fresh coriander leaves (kothambari soppu//hara dhaniya leaves)—handfull
Lemon juice— 1 tablespoon 

Method 

Place halved tomatoes,chopped onion,garlic,capsicum in a pan or skillet .
Cook on medium  flame till they are blackened( charred) a bit .
Switch off the stove.
Let it cool completely .
Transfer the charred vegetables,coriander leaves,salt,jeera powder,red chilli paste,lemon juice  into a food processor.
Pulse them to a chunky paste( do not make it fine paste)
( You can blend in blender )
Transfer to a bowl.
Serve with tortilla chips,nachos.
