Brahmi leaves ( ondelaga soppu) kashaya

 



Ingredients

 Brahmi leaves ( ondelaga soppu)—big handfull or 1 bunch 
Pepper corns (menasu kaalu)—7 to 8
Jeera (jeerige//cumin seeds)—1 tablespoon 
Ghee (tuppa)—1 teaspoon 
Salt—to taste 
Sugar or jaggery powder (Bella//gud)—1 teaspoon 
Water—5 cups

Method 

Wash the brahmi leaves properly along with stems.
( you can also include roots too)
Take jeera,pepper corns,ghee in a pan and saute for few seconds till jeera crackles.
Add in washed leaves and saute for few more minutes.
Switch off the stove.
Let it cool completely.
Then transfer the mixture to the mixer grinder jar and grind to smooth paste adding little water.

Transfer to a pan or vessel,add water,salt,jaggery and bring it to boil on medium flame.
Drink hot .
