Quick tomato chilli sauce recipe
Ingredients
Tomatoes—4 big sized
Sugar—1/2 cup
Green chillies (hasiru menasina kayi//hari mirch)—2 to 3
Red chilli powder—1 tablespoon
Salt—1 teaspoon
Lemon —1 small sized or 3 tablespoon juice
Garlic pods( belluli//lehsun)—5 to 6
Fresh ginger ( shunti//adarak)—small piece or ginger paste one tablespoon
Oil—5 tablespoon
Method
Wash the tomatoes and chop them.
Take all the ingredients except oil in a mixer grinder jar and grind to smooth paste ( purée) with out adding water.
Next take oil in a pan or kadai,add the ground tomato paste and keep it for cooking on medium flame.
Keep stirring continuously.
After a while it starts boiling and thickens.
It may take nearly 9 to 10 minutes.
Simple quick,tasty sauce is ready.
Switch off the stove.
Let the sauce cool completely.
Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
This tomato sauce can be used for manchurian,pasta,spread for pizza,noodles etc.
