Didir masala dose( instant masala dosa)
Ingredients
Upma sooji ( uppittu rava//semolina)—2 cups
Avalakki ( poha// rice flakes)—1/4 cup
Godhi hittu(wheat flour//atta)—1/4 cup
Besan ( kadale hittu//gram flour)—1/4 cup
Curd—1 cup
Water—as required
Salt—to taste
Cooking soda or baking soda—1/2 teaspoon
Oil—to make dosa
Method
Take avalakki,rava,besan,godhi hittu in a mixer grinder jar and grind to fine powder.
Transfer to a mixing bowl,add salt and mix well.
Further add curd and mix well .
Add in water and mix until a smooth lump free thick batter is formed.
Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Now add soda and little more water and mix well.
The consistency should be like dosa batter.
Now to prepare dosa.
Heat iron tava or dosa tava on medium flame.
Grease the tava.
Once hot enough,sprinkle little water on tava,water sizzles and evaporates.
Now lower the flame to low,and pour a laddle full of batter in the centre and spread in circular motion.
Sprinkle oil on the dosa and around edges.
Cover and cook
Cook dosa on medium flame,until crisp and golden brown.
Remove the dosa from tava and fold half.
Serve hot with chutney and alugedde irulli palya( aloo and onion palya).
