Coriander leaves stem drink( appetizer)

 


Ingredients 

Coriander leaves stem chopped ( kothambari soppu kaddi)—3 to 4 cups
Garlic pods (belluli//lehsun)—4 to 5
Ginger (shunti//adarak)—small piece 
Black or white pepper powder —1 teaspoon 
Salt—to taste
Fresh coriander leaves (kothambari soppu )—2 to 3 tablespoon chopped finely.
Lemon juice—1 teaspoon 
Water

Method 

Wash and chop coriander stems into pieces.
Transfer chopped stems to a pressure cooker.
Add garlic pods  and ginger.
Add enough water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
Once’s the pressure reduces open  the lid and strain the water.
Don’t throw away water.we can use it for making drink.
Let the stems cool a bit.
Grind the stems along with ginger and garlic to a smooth paste adding little water.
Strain the puree through a sieve or strainer.
Extract the juice completely.
Then add rest of strained water,salt,pepper powder and keep it for boiling.
When it starts boiling switch off the stove.
Add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice  and mix well.
Coriander stem,lemon drink ( soup//appetizer) is ready.
 Serve hot.
