Godhi hittina unde ( wheat flour laddu)
Ingredients
Godhi hittu (wheat flour//atta)—1 cup
Jaggery powder (Bella//gud)—1/2 cup
Dry fruits mixed ( badam,(almonds)cashews(godambi) raisins (drakshi)—chopped or crushed—1/2 cup
Grated dry coconut (copra//kobbari)—2 tablespoon
Ghee (tuppa)—1/4 cup + 2 tablespoon if needed
Powdered ellaki (elaichi) and clove (lavanga)—3 each
Method
Heat one tablespoon of ghee in a pan or kadai .
Add in wheat flour and roast on low medium flame,stirring continuously for about 7 to 8 minutes .
Wheat flour starts changing in colour slightly and you get a nice aroma.
Then add ghee,dry coconut grated,dry fruits crushed.
Roast for another 3 minutes on low heat.
Switch off the stove.
The mixture at this stage will be quite greasy.
Let it cool completely.
Once cooled add the jaggery powder and cardamom and cloves powder.
Mix everything well together with your hands.
Now take a small portion of mixture and make even sized balls (laddus) in between your palms.
The unde (ladoo) will be soft while making ,it will become firm after few hours.
Store in an airtight container.
