Kalthambittu unde ( kallunde) quick method

 


Ingredients 

Hurigadale (roasted gram//fried gram)—1 cup
Jaggery powder (Bella//gud)—3/4 cup
Grated  kobbari ( dry coconut//copra)—1/2 cup
Roasted ( halved) peanuts//kadale kayi bija//ground nuts—1/4 cup
Cardamom pods (ellaki//elaichi)—4
Hurigadale (roasted gram//fried gram)—3 tablespoon 
Water—1/3 cup ( full)

Method 

Firstly powder 1 cup hurigadale along with cardamom pods to fine powder in a mixer grinder jar.

 Keep one or two tablespoon of powder separetly in a plate.

Mix powdered hurigadale,grated dry coconut,roasted peanuts, 3 tablespoon of hurigadale in a bowl or plate and keep it aside.

Now melt the jaggery powder adding water on medium flame.
When the jaggery is dissolved completely,let it boil .
Keep stirring continuously.
Boil the syrup until you get the one thread consistency ( paaka).
Turn off the heat.
Add this syrup to the hurigadale mixture little by little and keep mixing with a spoon.
Mix it well together.
Now take desired amount of mixture and shape into round balls.
Roll the balls in the powdered hurigadale which is kept aside .

Let it cool completely.
Now delicious kallunde is ready .
