Jack fruit (halasina hannu) pudding
Ingredients
Milk ( full cream )—500 ml
Jack fruit (halasina hannu) finely chopped chunks—1 cup
Sugar—1/4 cup or little more depending on sweetness of fruit
Water—3/4 cup
Plain china grass—10 grams
Method
Soak China grass in water for 5 minutes in a bowl or pan.
Boil the China grass on low medium heat and keep stirring till the Chinagrass dissolves completely.
Now bring the milk to boil in a pan .
When it starts boiling add the melted China grass mixture.
Stir well.
Add in sugar and mix well.
Let it come to a boil .
Then switch off the stove.
Pour the mixture into a mould or bowl.
Let it cool a bit.
Then add chopped jack fruit pieces and mix well.
Let it cool completely.
Then refrigerate till it sets completely or chill for couple of hours.
Once set carefully invert onto a serving plate by gently releasing the edges.
Delicious jack fruit pudding is ready.
Cut into desired shape and serve .
