Tomato kayi sasive mosaru bajji ( tomato raita)

 


Ingredients 

Tomato  —6 medium sized chopped into cubes
Thick curd (mosaru//dahi)—2 cups or as required 
Fresh grated coconut (kayi turi//nariyal)—1/2 cup
Dry red chillies-(ona  menasina kayi)—2 
Sasive (mustard seeds//rai)—1 teaspoon 
Salt—to taste
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—few
Coriander leaves (kothambari soppu)—2 tablespoon chopped 

Method 

Wash and chop tomatoes into cubes or small pieces.

Transfer grated coconut,red chillies,sasive to a mixer grinder jar and grind to a coarse mixture without adding water.

Take chopped tomatoes in a mixing bowl.
Add in ground coconut mixture,salt,curry leaves,coriander leaves and mix well.
Add curd and mix well.
Tasty tomato kayi sasive mosaru bajji is ready.

Now prepare for seasoning (oggarane)

Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a laddle,once hot enough add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds (sasive//rai).
When it crackles pour over mixed mosaru bajji .

Serve with rice ,pulao,vegetable bhath ,or any rice of your choice.
