Kadale belle usli( channa dhal)


Ingredients 

Kadale bele ( channa dhal//split Bengal gram)—1 cup
Water—1 1/2 cup
Salt—to taste
Green chillies ( hasiru menasina kayi)—3
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—few
Kothambari soppu (coriander leaves)—2 tablespoon chopped 
Fresh grated coconut (kayi turi)—3 tablespoon 

For seasoning (oggarane)

Ghee or oil—2 tablespoon 
Mustard seeds (sasive)—1 teaspoon 
Hing (asafoetida//ingu)—1 tablespoon 

Method 

Wash the kadale belle, And transfer to a pressure cooker add water and salt and Cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.

Let it cool completely.
Now take a pan ,add oil,once’s hot add sasive,when it stops spluttering add hing,slit green chillies,and karibevu.
Sauté on medium flame.
Now add the cooked kadale belle,grated  Fresh coconut,and cook till kadale belle absorb the seasoning.
Add in chopped coriander leaves and  mix  Everything well.

Switch off the stove.
Remove from pan and transfer to a bowl.
Kadale belle usli is ready to serve 

You can squeeze lemon juice for extra taste (it’s optional)
