Akki kayi payasa( rice coconut kheer)


Ingredients 

Raw rice—3 tablespoon 
Fresh grated coconut( Kayi turi)—1/4 cup
Jaggery powder ( Bella//gud)—1/2 cup
Milk—1 cup
Badam (almonds//badami)—8 to 10
Cashews nuts(godambi)—8 to 10
Cardamom pods (ellaki//elaichi)—3
Cloves (lavanga)—3
Saffron strands (kesar//kesari)—one pinch
Water—as required 

Method 

 Wash and soak the raw rice In water for about an hour.( or in warm water for 30 minutes).

Now transfer the soaked rice,grated coconut,badami,cashews,cardamom pods,lavanga to a mixer grinder jar and grind to a smooth paste with little water.

Transfer the ground paste to a vessel or pan,add in jaggery powder and keep it for boiling on medium flame.
Add milk ,saffron strands and mix well.
Add little water to adjust consistency and let it boil.

Keep on stirring so that no lumps will form.
Once boiled switch off the stove.
Serve hot or cold.
This payasa should be little thick in consistency.
