Oma kaalu gojju( ajwain //carom seeds)



Ingredients 

Oma kaalu (ajwain//ova)—1 cup
Dry coconut grated ( copra// kobbari)—1 cup
Jaggery powder (Bella //gud)—1/2 cup
Tamarind soaked in water (hunase hannu//imli)—lemon size 
Saarina pudi (rasam//saaru powder)—1 tablespoon 
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—few
Salt —to taste
Ghee (tuppa)—3 tablespoon

Method 

Heat ghee in a pan or kadai,add oma kaalu and karibevu,saute on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add in grated dry coconut and saute for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Add squeezed tamarind juice and mix well,also add jaggery powder and rasam powder.
Let it boil for 4 to 5 minutes .
Add salt and simmer for few minutes or till water is obserbed.
Now tasty gojju is ready.
You can store this in refrigerator.

Serve this gojju with hot rice.

Note;;this is a traditional malnaadu recipe.

And served daily to post -natal mothers for lunch for its medicinal benefits and proper digestion.
