Mosaru bajji (raita)

Ingredients 

Cucumber ( sowthekayi)—1small 
Tomatoes—2 medium sized 
Onion—1 medium sized 
Coriander leaves (kothambari soppu)—2 tablespoon chopped 
Thick curd (Mosaru)—2  cups or as required 
Salt —to taste 

Method 

Wash and peel the skin of cucumber and chop into small pieces.
Wash tomatoes and chop them also into small pieces.
Chop onion into small pieces.

Take  all the above chopped ingredients in a mixing bowl,add salt,coriander leaves.mix well

Now prepare for seasoning (oggarane)

Ghee—1 tablespoon 
Mustard seeds (sasive)—1 teaspoon 
Asafoetida (hing//ingu)—1/2 teaspoon 
Green chillies (hasiru menasina kayi)—2 chopped 

Heat ghee in a laddle,once hot add sasive,when it crackles add hing and green chillies,sauté till chillies turns to white colour.

Pour this over mixed  cucumber mix ,and add curd.
Mix well with hands.

Now mosaru bajji is ready.
This is South Indian style of making.
You can add cumin powder,chilli powder, pudina leaves to make it North Indian style.

This mosaru bajji goes well with bhath,pulao,biriyani,bisibele bhath,roti,etc.
