Milk bread kulfi

Ingredients 

Milk bread —4 slices 
Milk —2 cups ( 1/2 litre)
Sugar—1/3 cup
Saffron strands ( kesari//kesar )—1 big pinch
Cardamom pods ( ellaki // elaichi)—3 
Badam ( badami // almonds)—10 to 12
Godambi ( cashew nuts)—10
Pista —10

You also need kulfi moulds and matka ( small plastic or earthen pots)

Method 

Cut and discard the edges of bread.
Cut them into pieces and grind in a mixer grinder jar to a fine powder.

Grind almonds,cashews ,pista,cardamom in a mixer grinder jar to a coarse powder.

Heat milk in a non stick pan or thick bottomed kadai or pan,and bring to boil,on medium flame.
When the milk comes to boil ,add the powdered bread and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Keep stirring.

Then add in sugar and cook for 2 more minutes.

Finally add powdered nuts and saffron strands and mix well on low flame.
Cook for 2 more minutes.

Turn off the heat.
Let it cool completely to room temperature.

Now pour the mixture into kulfi moulds and cover it with aluminium foil,make a slit with knife and insert ice cream sticks.
 Pour to pots and top it with some pista and almonds shredded if you want.
Freeze for 6 to 7 hours or overnight.

Note ; you can also add few drops of rose water or kewada water for flavour ( it’s optional)
