Mandakki puri khara oggarane


Ingredients 

Mandakki (kadale puri//puffed rice)—5  to 6 cups or as required 
Kadale kayi bija (peanuts//ground nuts)—3 tablespoon 
Hurigadale (roasted gram //fried gram)—3 tablespoon 
Dry coconut( kobbari//copra) grated or chopped to slices—3 tablespoon 
Dry red chillies—2 to 3
Oil—3 tablespoon 
Mustard seeds (sasive)—1 teaspoon 
Hing (asafoetida//ingu)—1 tablespoon 
Arisina (turmeric powder//haldi)—1 teaspoon 
Red chilli powder-(achha menasina pudi)—1/2 teaspoon 
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—3 tablespoon 
Salt to taste

Method 

Heat oil in kadai or pan,once’s hot enough add mustard seeds,when it crackles add hing,saute on medium flame.
Then add in  broken red chillies,karibevu and saute for few seconds.
 
Add in kadale kayi bija and keep frying till it turns to brown and crisp.
Then add in Hurigadale,kobbari,arisina and fry for a few minutes on low flame 

Add in red chilli powder and salt and fry till everything mixes well.
That’s just for few minutes.,on low heat as it gets burned soon.

Finally  Add mandakki and mix well for 4 to 5 minutes under very low flame,so that mandakki gets evenly coated with other spices,and mandakki gets crisipier.

Switch off the stove.
Let it Cool completely.
Store in airtight container.

Now mandakki puri khara oggarane is ready to eat.

Note;; there is no perfect measurement for this recipe,You can add spices ,hurigadale, peanut s,according to your taste and spice level,and preferences.

Be careful while adding salt as some variety mandakki do contain salt in them
