Kara sev ( kara kaddi) recipe

Ingredients 

Kadale hittu ( besan // gram flour)—1 cup
Red chilli powder ( achha menasina pudi)—1 teaspoon 
Om kaalu ( ajwain//carom seeds)—1 teaspoon 
Salt—1/2 teaspoon 
Asafoetida (hing//ingu)—1 teaspoon 

Oil— 2 tablespoon 

Oil —to deep fry 

Method 

Take kadale hittu,red chilli powder,om kaalu.salt and hing in a wide bowl.
Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a laddle,once hot ,pour over the above dry mixture.
The oil should be so hot when you pour over bubbles should form.
Mix everything well together.

Now add water little by little and make a dough.
The dough must be very thick sticky paste like consistency.

Now take the Muruku( chakli press) mould and grease it with oil.

Fill the dough into chakli press using a spoon.

Meanwhile heat oil in a kadai or pan ,once hot enough press the dough directly into hot oil ,by turning the heat to low.
Then increase the flame to medium.

Fry under medium flame.
 Once the bubbles stops  turn over to cook the other side.
Fry until it turns to light golden brown colour.
 Remove from oil  Using a perforated laddle and transfer it on to a colander.

Let it cool completely and store in a air tight container.

This is a quick,simple and easy snack .
