Hotel style chutney

Ingredients 

Fresh grated coconut—1 cup
Hurigadale ( roasted gram//fried gram)—1 cup
Green chillies—2
Tamarind (hunase hannu//imli )—small lemon size 
Ginger fresh ( Shunti )—small piece 
Jaggery powder (Bella//gud)–1 tablespoon 
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—few
Salt —3/4 teaspoon or to taste
Water to grind chutney 

Method 

Transfer all the above ingredients to a mixer grinder jar and add sufficient water and grind to a smooth paste.

Transfer the ground chutney to a bowl.

Now prepare for seasoning (oggarane)

Oil or ghee—1 tablespoon 
Mustard seeds (sasive)—1 teaspoon 
Urad dhal ( uddina belle)—1 teaspoon 
Asafoetida ( hing//ingu)—1/2 teaspoon 
Dry red chillies—1 broken into pieces 
Curry leaves (karibevu//kadipatta)—few

Method 

Heat oil in a laddle,once hot enough add mustard seeds,when it crackles add uddina belle,hing,red chilli and karibevu.

Once done pour over chutney and mix well.

This chutney is served in hotels with idli,dosa pongal and other breakfast.
