Green grapes gojju
Ingredients
Green seedless grapes ( drakshi hannu ) —1 cup
Grated coconut—1 cup
Dry red chillies—3
Jaggery powder ( Bella // gud)—2 tablespoon or more
Mustard seeds ( sasive)—1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
For seasoning (oggarane)
Oil—1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds ( sasive)—1 teaspoon
Jeera ( jeerige//cumin seeds)—1 teaspoon
Asafoetida ( hing// ingu)—1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves ( karibevu //kadipatta)—few
Wash the grapes thoroughly in water.
Note
Deseed grapes if it is not seedless grapes and chop them
If its seedless grapes no need to chop them.
Method
Heat oil in a pan or kadai ,on medium flame,once hot enough add mustard seeds and jeera.
When they crackle add asafoetida and curry leaves .
Then add washed green grapes and sauté for a minute.
Then add 1/2 cup of water and let it cook.
Add jaggery powder also and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
Meanwhile grind coconut,mustard seeds,red chillies in a mixer grinder adding required amount of water to a smooth paste.
Add the ground paste to cooked grapes and bring it to a boil adding salt.
It should be little thick consistency ( gravy //gojju).
Now tasty gojju is ready to serve.
Serve with hot cooked rice.
