Besan ladoo ( laddu)
Ingredients
Besan ( kadale hittu// gram flour)—2 cups
Powdered white sugar —1 1/2 cup
Ghee—1 cup
Cardamom pods (ellaki//elachi)—6 to 7
Raisins ( drakshi)—2 tablespoon
Cashews (godambi)—2 tablespoon
Pistachios—2 tablespoon
Kesari(saffron stands) —a pinch
Method
Heat Ghee in a nonstick pan or thick bottomed kadai.
Once the ghee melts,add besan,mix continuously till ghee is combined well with ghee.
Now on low flame stir continuously for nearly to 20 to 25 minutes.
Keep stirring the besan till you get a nice aroma and besan changes to light golden brown colour.
Add kesari strands and mix well.
Now turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool completely.
Meanwhile powder the cardamoms and fry the dry fruits in ghee .
Once the roasted besan cools ,add powdered sugar,cardamom powder,and fried dry fruits.
Mix everything well together .
Take small portions of mixture and roll into balls.
Now prepare all the laddoos out ot the mixture.
Store in air tight container.
