Instant rava dosa
Ingredients
Chiroti rava( fine semolina// sooji)—1 cupRaw rice powder ( akki hittu)—1 cup
Jeera (jeerige// cumin seeds)—1 tablespoon
Black pepper corns crushed ( kalu menasu)—1 tablespoon
Asafoetida (hing //ingu ) —a pinch
Green chillies chopped finely—1
Curry leaves (karibevu //kadipatta) finely chopped—1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves finely chopped ( kothambari soppu)—1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Water.
Method
Take rice flour,rava,crushed pepper corn,jeera ,salt,asafoetida in a mixing bowl.
Mix well.
Now add in finely chopped green chilli,coriander leaves,curry leaves mix everything well together .
Add in required amount of water to it and whisk well to avoid lumps.
The batter should be thin and water like.
Now to prepare rava dosa
Heat iron or cast iron dosa tava or non stick skillet.on medium flame.
Tava should be really hot to make dosa.
To check sprinkle little water on tava and water sizzles and evaporates.
Now lower the flame to sim or low and pour laddle full of batter from outer circle and it will spread on its own.
Pour to fill the centre to fill the uncovered areas.
Sprinkle oil all around dosa.
Cook on medium flame,once done fold no need to flip.
Serve hot rava dosa with chutney and vegetable saagu or koorma.
Make sure to pour the dosa to thin layer which makes dosa crispy.
Before making another dosa stir the batter very well with the laddle.
Note
You can add chopped onions and ginger to the above batter .
