Instant tomato dosa


Ingredients 

Tomatoes medium—4 
Onion( irulli) medium—1
Ginger( shunti )—small piece
Red chillies dried —4
Coriander leaves ( kothambari soppu)—2 tablespoon chopped 
Curry leaves ( karibevu//kadipatta)—2 tablespoon 
Jeera (jeerige ///cumin seeds)—1 teaspoon 
Black pepper corns ( menasu kaalu)—1 teaspoon 

Rice powder( akki hittu )—1/2 cup
Semolina ( suji //rava)—1/2 cup
Wheat flour ( godhi hittu )—1/4 cup
Salt to taste

Oil for making dosa 

Water—3 cups 

Method  

Wash tomatoes .
Chop onion into small pieces 
Crush jeera and pepper to coarse powder.

Grind tomatoes,red chillies,ginger in a mixer jar to smooth paste without adding water .

Transfer to a large mixing bowl .
Add in rice powder,rava,wheat flour,chopped onions and curry and coriander leaves ,crushed jeera,pepper ,salt.
 Mix well.
Add water and mix the batter well like rava dosa .

Let the batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes .

Heat a tava or non stick tava or skillet ,once hot enough,pour  a laddle full of dosa  batter carefully in circular motion.

Start pouring the batter from outside rim of tava to inwards centre of tava on  low medium flame .
Pouring this  dosa method  is similar to rava dosa.
Smear oil around dosa.
Let it cook in medium flame.
Cook till bottom side turns golden brown and crisp.
Just fold and serve.
No need to flip.

Serve dosa immediately with tomato chutney or coconut chutney.


Note 

If you are finding difficulty in spreading dosa,make batter little thick,and spread like normal dosa.
But they wont turn crispy.
