Neerdose
Ingredients
Dosa rice or Sona masoori rice—2 cups
Fresh grated coconut—1/4 cup
Water —3 to 5 cups
Salt to taste.
Oil to make dosa.
Method
Wash and soak the rice in water for 6 to 7 hours or overnight.
Next day drain the water and grind it in a mixer grinder .
Just add enough water to grind the rice,other wise you won’t be able to grind the rice if you add more water.
Add grated coconut also and grind it.
Dosa batter should be very smooth paste not coarse.
Add salt and run the mixer again so that everything mixes well.
Now transfer ground batter to a large bowl.
Add enough water to make it thin flowing watery consistency.
Stir well.
Now heat a skillet or iron dosa tava or non stick pan on medium high flame.
Once hot enough ,lower the flame to sim,pour laddle full of the dosa batter on the tava ,it will spread on its own.
If any gaps left over then fill it by pouring some more batter.
pour little oil on top and cover the lid and cook on medium flame .
Open the lid after 10 seconds,take out the dosa and flip on other side for a few seconds.
Now take out the dosa .
Serve it hot with coconut chutney.
