Mosaranna( curd rice)

Ingredients 

Cooked rice —2 cups
Thick curd—3 to 4 cups
Milk— 1 cup
Grated coconut—1/4 cup
Green chillies—1 or 2 chopped
Ginger—small piece grated
Mustard seeds—1 teaspoon 
Salt to taste 
Curry leaves—few
Coriander leaves chopped—1 to 2 tablespoon 
Ghee —1 tablespoon 
Pomegranate seeds—1 cup( you can also add green and black grapes/raisins)


Method 

Cook the rice in a pressure cooker for 3 to 4 whistles.
Rice should be soft for curd rice.
Cool the rice completely.

Now heat a laddle add ghee ,once hot add mustard seeds,when it stops spluttering switch off the heat and add green chillies chopped.
Take out of flame.

Now take the rice in a broad bowl,if its not soft mash it with your fingers.
Now add in curd ,salt and milk.mix well with your hands mashing it well.
 Now add other ingredients like coconut grated,ginger grated,curry leaves,coriander leaves,pomegranate,and seasoning green chillies and mustard.
Mix well everything.
Now curd rice is ready to serve..
