bhatura recipe

Ingredients 

Maida—1 heaped cup
Chiroti rave ( fine sooji //fine semolina )—1/3 cup
Curd—1/3 cup
Salt to taste.
Baking powder—1/4 teaspoon or a pinch
Water

Oil to deep fry 

Method 

Take maida,rava,salt ,baking powder in a mixing bowl  and mix well.
Add curd and required amount of water and knead the dough to smooth soft dough .

You can knead the dough in food processor for softer dough..

It should be like poori dough.
Cover it and keep aside for 20 minutes.

Further roll the dough into a long shape ,pinch the dough into medium sized balls.

Then roll the  balls between your palms.

Then take one ball roll the dough evenly into circles using rolling pin.
Rolled out bhatura should not be very thin nor too thick.

Frying  bhatura

Heat oil in a kadai or pan.once oil is hot enough slowly drop the bhatura in it.
After 5 seconds gently press it with a perforated laddle to puff up.
When its turns light brown,turn it gently and fry another side.
Fry on medium flame.

Then drain the bhatura into tissue paper to remove excess oil.
 Serve with chole or rajma.
