Beet root palya (subji)

Ingredients 

Beet root —5 medium sized 
Fresh grated coconut—1/4 cup
Green chillies—1 
Red chillies—2
Curry leaves—few
Sasive ( mustard seeds)-1 teaspoon 
Channa dhal (kadale belle )—1 tablespoon 
Urad dhal (uddina belle)—1 tablespoon 
Oil—3 tablespoon 
Salt to taste.
Sugar —1 teaspoon 
Water.—1/2 cup


Method 

Wash the beet root well and chop them into small pieces or even you can chopp them in food processor.
Chop both the chillies 

Heat the oil in a kadai or pan.
Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds,let it pop then add channa dhal,urad dhal,curry leaves.
Once the dhals turns brown add chopped chillies ,stir well.
Then add beet root chopped along with salt and sugar ,stirring all along.
Add 1/2 cup water cover the kadai with a lid and let it cook on medium flame.
Keep stirring in between.
When beet roots becomes soft and water evaporates,add grated coconut and mix well.
Turn off the heat.
Transfer to a bowl .
