Nimbehannina chitranna ( lemon rice )

Ingredients 

Cooked rice—2 to 2 1/2 cups
Oil—4 tablespoon 
Mustard seeds( sasive )—1 teaspoon 
 jeera ( jeerige// cumin seeds)—1 teaspoon 
Menthya seeds( fenugreek seeds)—1/4 teaspoon 
Channa dhal( kadale belle)—1 tablespoon 
Urad dhal( uddina belle)—1 tablespoon 
Ground nuts ( PEANUTS) kadale kayi bija—2 heaped tablespoon 
Turmeric powder ( arisina// haldi)—1/4 teaspoon 
Green chillies—3
Red chilli—1 
Ginger—small piece 
Curry  leaves( karibevu// kadipatta)—few
Coriander leaves—( kothambari soppu)—2 to 3 tablespoon chopped 
Lemon—( nimbe hannu)—2 small
Asafoetida( hing// ingu)—1/4 teaspoon 

Fresh grated coconut—1 cup

Method 

Grind chillie and Coconut,ginger  to coarse  powder ( mixture)without adding water.

Heat the oil in a pan or kadai,on medium heat.
Once the oil is hot add groundnuts fry for a while or till it starts cracking.
Then add mustard seeds,jeera,channa dhal, urad dhal,methi seeds keep stirring .
When done add curry leaves,asafoetida,turmeric when done add ground mix

Keep stirring.reduce the flame .
 Add cooked rice and salt.
Mix well.

Finally turn of the heat squeeze the lemon juice ,coriander leaves.

Mix it Thoroughly.
 Now chitranna is ready serve hot or cold .
