Mavina (mango)hannina gojju

Ingredients 

Mango fruits h mavina hannu just( small variety ones)—8 
Channa dhal( kadale belle)— 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds(sasive) - 1 teaspoon
Methi seeds ( menthya kaalu// fenugreek seeds)—1 teaspoon
Red chillies—5  to 6
Fresh grated coconut—1 cup
Jaggery powder( Bella// gud)— 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Curry leaves( karibevu// kadipatta) -few


Method

Wash mangoes thoroughly.
Peel the skin .
Add water to peeled skin and extract juice from it.

Mash mangoes and keep it ready.


Roast channa dhal ,methi,mustard seeds,red chillies adding a little oil, till channa dhal turns light brown,on medium heat.
Take out from flame and keep aside.

Let it cool.
Grind coconut,fried masala,jaggery,salt,altogether to a fine smooth  paste.
 Add this paste to mango pulp and also add the water squeezed from skin.
Mix  everything incorporate  well.

Now add oggarane( seasoning)


Take a laddle and pour a tablespoon of ghee ,once hot add a teaspoon of mustard seeds ,jeera,asafoetida.and curry leaves.
When stops spluttering pour over gojju.

Mix well and serve.
