Mallige idli

Ingredients 

Urad dhal—1 cup
Idli rava ( sooji)—2 cups
Avalakki ( poha )— 1/2 cup

Salt to taste
Oil

Method 

Wash urad dhal in water thrice and also wash avalakki.
 Soak both for 5 hours adding enough water.

Drain the water and transfer urad dhal and poha into the blender.

Blend to smooth and fluffy batter with little water.

Mean while wash rice rava in water and drain water and keep for 10 minutes.

Transfer the urad dhal batter to a large bowl,and mix with soaked rive rava adding salt to taste.

Combine well.

Cover  and let it rest for 8 to 9 hours or overnight.for fermentation.

After 8 hours batter doubles.

Mix  the batter gently .

Now grease the idli plates with oil,and scoop the batter to plates.
 Place them in idli steamer and steam for 12 to 13 minutes. In medium flame.

Cool and take out soft idlis.
