Kadale belle carrot kosambari

Ingredients 

Kadale belle ( channa dhal)— soaked in water for 2 to 3 hours—3 tablespoon 
Grated carrot—1 cup
Grated fresh coconut—1/2 cup
Ginger grated—1 tablespoon 
Chopped coriander leaves( kothambari soppu)— 1 tablespoon 
Green chillies-2 to 3 chopped
Salt to taste.
Lemon juice — 1 tablespoon 

Ghee- 1 teaspoon 
Mustard seeds( sasive)—1 teaspoon 
Asafoetida( hing// ingu)— 1/4 teaspoon

Method 

Drain water from soaked dhal.
Combine the dhal,grated carrot, coconut grated,salt,chopped coriander leaves,ginger,in a bowl.
Mix well.

Prepare for seasoning 


Heat the ghee in a laddle when hot add mustard seeds,asafoetida,when it crackles add  chopped green chillies. Saute till chillies turn little white.

Turn off heat .
Pour  this prepared seasoning  on the dhal and carrot mix .

Squeeze lemon juice as well.
Mix everything together well.
Kosambari is ready to serve.
