Akki rotti

Ingredients 

Rice flour—2 cups
Fresh grated coconut—1/2 cup
Finely chopped onion—1
Green chillies—1 finely chopped 
Ginger—small piece finely chopped 
Jeera—1 tablespoon 
Curry leaves—1 tablespoon chopped 
Coriander leaves—2 tablespoon finely chopped 
Salt —1 teaspoon or to taste.
Curd —2 tablespoons


Water— to mix batter.
Oil—for making

Method 

Take all the ingredients in a bowl ( except oil and water )and mix nicely.

Now slowly add water till you get a soft dough .
 
Let it rest for 10 minutes.

First wash the skillet or tava add a teaspoon of oil and spread it around.

Take an big lemon sized dough,place in the centre of tava,and spread it gently to make a thin circle by wetting hand in water.

Now  make a whole in the centre and few more around the rotti.
Pour oil in the holes and around the edges of rotti.

Cover with a lid place on the stove on medium heat.
 Let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Once it becomes brown remove the rotti .


Turn the hot tava upside down and run under tap until tava cools down.

And then make another rotti.

Serve hot with chutney,menthya hittu gojju etc.
